Why Transportation Matters

Transportation is essential to daily life. Most of our activities like work, healthcare, education, and shopping require us to leave home. Without reliable transportation, people face barriers to opportunity and quality of life.

Mobility Management is about helping people, not just moving vehicles.

It focuses on connecting individuals with accessible, reliable transportation options so they can get where they need to go across North Central Connecticut.

Way To Go CT provides outreach through social service agencies, churches, senior centers, shelters, and media outlets. We distribute printed and online guides covering transportation options in each town, including:

  • Dial-A-Ride Services

  • Taxi Voucher Programs

  • CTFastrak Updates

  • Private & Public Transit Services

Through our call center and community surveys, we identify transportation gaps and find ways to fill them. We actively seek input from transit operators, social service providers, nonprofits, and community members like you. This feedback shapes our work and gets shared with the Department of Transportation to drive real change.
